Louise Koren is the Managing Editor at Tales & Feathers Magazine, and a Senior Editor at Augur Literary Society. They have been the editor of longform novels such as Handful of Earths by Sansoucy Kathenor, and the proofreader of The Full Disclosure Iliad by Jeff Wright. They are also a copyeditor at the Canadian Journal of European and Russian Studies, and a contract editor at Creyos Health (Cambridge Brain Sciences).

Louise is also a linguist and PhD student at Carleton University. They have a BAH in Linguistics, with a minor in Classical Studies from Queen’s University (2020), and a MA in Linguistics from Carleton University (2022). Their research interests in linguistics include Morphology, particularly of Philippine and Dene languages, Historical Linguistics, and Language Documentation and Analysis. They are passionate about teaching and linguistic pedagogy. Louise is a member of the Kwän Dék’án Do language project run by the First Nation of Nä-cho Nyäk Dun, through a partnership at Carleton University. They are also a lab manager for the Upstaging/Feature Competition Linguistics lab, with professors at Carleton University, Queen’s University, University of Toronto, and St. Mary’s University.
